HUNKERED BUT NOT CONQUERED – DAY 5
Dear brothers and Sisters,
I hope everyone is doing good in keeping healthy and safe. As I said in my earlier letter to all our parishioners, we will do our best during these challenging times to be in touch from our bunkers. From time to time, I will be reaching out to everyone virtually. I will be making some posts through our various channels of online communication( parish group email, parish website and parish Facebook page).
I can also be reached through our parish phone lines (6132571284 or 6132571630). If you really really need to see me in person, we can also make arrangements for it.
Today I am sending you three short videos for your spiritual upliftment and edification.
In this video, Bishop Baron talks about how we can grow spiritually during these days of confinement.
Here you have the Catholic Church’s teaching on Spiritual Communion. Since many of us may not be able to receive Jesus Sacramentally, we can commune with him spiritually. In this email you will find the text you can use for spiritual communion.
Here you have today’s daily mass celebrated by Bishop Robert Baron.
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen
- Our Sunday mass tomorrow will be streamed online at 10:00 am.
- There will be an online children’s liturgy activity to be hosted by Jennifer Bradley. Parents are encouraged to work with our little ones at home.
- We are working to put together a virtual group for our community. This group will be offering virtual support to our parishioners and the community at large. Adrienne Witol will be assisting us in this regard. Please stay tuned.
Let us continue to hold each other in our prayers at this time and always. Peace be with each of you and your families Remember, this too shall pass.
God loves you and so do I!
“O God, be gracious and bless us and let your face shed its light upon us”
